here's uncle tannin's take on sundays race:
"Pretty much the most miserable experience of my life. Definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, way harder than the ironman marathon. I stopped looking at my watch after 7 miles, I knew it was going to only get worse and was just on cruise control. My salt pills dissolved in my pockets at that point, so I licked off my hand what was left and started to take in more Gatorade than normal. I think I held a decent pace past half way, but it got up to like 93 soon after and I just really started to slow down. By mile 16 I was walking through the water stations, by mile 20 I was walking between every water station, and doing a real quality shuffle in between. It was pretty miserable and I didn’t care when I was going to finish, and was considering just walking in at mile 22 because everybody else was, but Tom was actually waiting for me there and jumped in. About 1km from the end, there was a woman with a megaphone saying to just walk it in because everybody was getting sick. I crawled in, but as soon as I crossed the line there was murmuring the race was canceled and there wasn’t going to be any official placements. I asked if anybody had died, and they said no, but unfortunately one person did by the end.
So, it sucked..."

Thanks for all the press Carter :)
Sunday was definitely pretty miserable. Not too excited about 4 months of training for that - but, I guess it could have been worse. Didn't end up in the hospital, or with a DNF.
I'm looking to forward to eating everything in site with you at xmas.
