so it really does pay to make nice-nice with the bakery ladies. on friday's cookie run i scored a free peanut butter cookie from baybread then on sunday i got a free turkey cookie from potter's. looks like those pleases and thank yous actually work. jamo missed out on both cause he was sleeping. bummer.

chilly willy here. gots to have your layers, slippers and long underwear on. the sunroom is the warmest room in the house now which is a big change from last year. mum and dad pretty much got the woodstove figured out now too so that's good. dad's actually been cooking a ton on it. rice, beans, tea, potatoes, squash etc. he seems pretty pleased with himself.
