mum went downstate to race on friday and despite crashing spectacularly managed to still win.

I don't know if you have the women's cat 4 story yet, but here's my version:

6 Hagerty women and 5 other women started the 4 lap course together. The first 2 laps were pretty slow. On the beginning of the 3rd lap Jane Gassi attacked and me, Johanna and Alicia Trevino from Team Giant went with her. The remaining 4 Hagerty girls held off to keep the pack back. They did a great job in making our break away a success!

Late in the third lap, Trevino bumped tires with Gassi and Trevino went down. Johanna ran her over, flew off her bike and landed HARD! I managed to avoid the crash. I stayed with Gassi and we took turns working to finish. Midway through the final lap, my jaw hit the pavement when Johanna and a bloodied Trevino pulled up behind us! Johanna had towed her up to us and told me she wouldn't let me win that easy.:) The four of us saw the pack close behind and took short pulls to stay away. Johanna and Trevino created a gap and finished 1st and 2 nd. How cool to finish first with leaves stuck in your handlebars, saddle jammed out of position, and grass stuck in your sunglasses!!!!!! I managed to get away from Gassi on one of the last hills to finish 3rd. The rest of the team flew in looking strong within 3 minutes of winning time! Awesome Job Hagerty women.

What a fun race! Thanks to the rest of the team for helping us finish 1 and 3!


us boys managed to survive all alone here. we actually had a great day. up at 5:45 to get waffled, out the door by 7 to run 8miles before the farmer's market then to the park for lunch.
still no words for jamo but he is dangerously close to being all done with boobies.

i learn to wipe my own bum yesterday. excellent!

dad is fired up he hasn't killed any trees yet as all25 are still going.
