sunday was the RAT, or ride around torch lake. dad left the house at 6am and rode 23 miles to the start in the rain. luckily, it stopped raining when we left to meet dad in elk rapids after his 62 miles ride. we're still in "no car mode" so mum rode us up there in the trailer. it took nearly two hours and she had to climb a couple of pretty steep hills but we got to travel some beautiful country rodes passing lots of cherry farms. in elk rapids, we swam, played at the park, and had some lunch on the beach then we all rode home. mum pulled the trailer but dad helped by pushing up the hills. mum says that it's good training because when she rides her bike without us she feels like she's flying.
