took the team out for one last road trip as mum had a couple of criterium races this weekend downstate. the first was in grand rapids on saturday. she finished 4th and got one of the $50 primes. sunday's race was in ann arbor where she got another $50 prime and finished 2nd in a photo finish.

mum is now the bike racer in the family and dad has been relegated to kid wrangler. mum made enough money to cover all the weekend expenses plus a little more. not bad! jameson and i were good chearleaders and even got interviewed by the ann arbor newspaper. "Ty Schmidt, 32, of Traverse City, stood along Main Street and yelled encouragement as his wife, Johanna, 34, competed in one of the amateur races.
