dad had a mountain bike race this weekend. it was at crystal mountain. the whole family made the trek out there. it was cold in the morning but ended up being a beautiful day. they had chair lift rides to the top so we could watch the racers climb a monster hill then zip down the other side. they also had a kids race. my first without training wheels. i wanted to go with the bigger kids but mum said maybe next year. dad got fifth in his first pro race. he was only 4 minutes behind the winner who dad calls a "stud". i guess that makes dad a "stud-in-training". we had a great time with naps in the car on the way home. mum loves a good car nap!
today dad, jamo and i rode to oryana to pick up our 50lbs of oatmeal. the last bag lasted us just over 50 days. 1#/day...that's a lot of oats.
