spring is here. so nice to have a all the snow gone and all the skis/sleds/snowshoes etc stored away till december. we've been working in the yard alot and i have my own 10x8 garden bed this year. i've got big plans.
happy earth day too. lots of fun happening this weekend with a parade, concert, free compost/trees, beach cleanup, so i'm looking forward to that.
now that we're bigger dad figured our trailer rides up to suttons bay were all but done but we surprised him and made the 40 mile round trip with very little fighting or screaming. plus we scored some coco-crispies at ggma's so that didn't hurt.
this past weekend was our library's 10th bday. they had a "top10" contest that me and dad entered. we actually won a prize; here it is:
A 4 and a Half Year Old's Top 10 Ways to Get to The Library From Washington Street
10. Strap on my rubber boots and walk down Railroad Avenue stomping every puddle in sight.
9. With waterproof rain-flap in place on my bike trailer keeping me dry, dad pedals across 8th and gets completely soaked. It's funny!
8. Tag-a-along bike ride with mum over new Boardman river bridge to Oryana's then back to the wooden train for a picnic.
7. Monkey bars, swinging and a couple trips down the slide at F&M park before Saturday wigglers program at 11.
6. Get up early on summer mornings. Take Barlow Street down to Senior Center beach for a quick dip in the bay then to Youth Services to see if there's any StarWars books.
5. Run with dad in jogger down Boardman trail and back just in time for 9:30 storybook time with Miss Jill.
4. Bike ride to civic center for a couple laps then over to library to play with puzzles and puppets.
3. Sunday morning tradition. Rose Street to Potter's for yummy donuts and then down TART to be the first ones through the doors at noon.
2. Winter time fun with a Dad Powered Sled-Train. Him pulling me. Me pulling my little brother.
1. Car? No way Jose!
i scored a gift certificate to the toy store downtown. hop they have some starwars stuff, lightsaber/darth vader helmet, starfighters, jedi robes whatever.
