last road race of the season this weekend. it was the cherry roubaix. it started saturday with jameson and me racing in the kids race. we both did the 4-6 year old race then i raced again with the 7-10 year olds then asked if i could keep going. it had been raining all day and stopped just long enough for our race then completely dumped on mum's race. she said it was fun regardless of the rain and ended up 4th again for about the 5th time this year. dad skipped the crit this year after getting up-close and personal with the hay bails last year. today we headed out to sugar loaf (old ski resort) for the road race. mum and dad both raced 60 miles. dad got 5th and mum again took 4th. her teammate won so she was happy. mum is happy that the season has come to an end. she says 14 races was enough. dad will probably take tomorrow off and be back on his road bike tuesday.
