mum and i met some of my friends over at dennos museum for a stories, scribbles, and wiggles program. we had a scavenger hunt in the museum, went outside to look at the sculptures, then made wind socks. it was really fun.
we all met at the beach for a picnic after. dad and jameson met us there too. dad had to go to work, but we hung out most of the afternoon. it felt like a real summer day with the temps in the mid 80's.
mum is filling in at work a few mornings this week and next. this morning was her first back. jameson and i were great for dad. dad says it's easy once you get the mentality, "i'm not going to get anything done, so don't even try." mum enjoyed the break but is glad that it's only once in a while. i think she wants to enjoy another summer off. she's only worked one summer in the last 5 years, not a bad gig! i hope i can manage something like that when i get bigger.
