our first family road trip as a team of 4 went really well. although it's a mere 2hrs to grand rapids things still went great. without driving privileges, dad has been relegated to entertainer so he squeezed in between jameson and my carseat for books and playing. the hotel was super fancy. cool glass elevators, enormous ballrooms, fountains and wishing wells. downtown gr is a pretty cool place too. lots bigger than tc.
dad's race went well too. he wanted to use it as race simulation for the marathon next month and he did with a negative split and a fast final 5k.

Tell you dad good work on the run, and that uncle Tannin's training for the half marathon is relatively pain free...but still can't get under 190 lbs. Too much beer maybe?
We'll see if I can stay with your dad for the first 5 miles.
