went down to the farmer's market for free compost this morning. same craziness as last year with tons of eager-beaver gardeners shoveling like mad. we got serious this year and borrowed uncle tim's truck. dad did the loading and mum the unloading. scored 3 more free spruces too.
later after some lunch we rode downtown for some kid's festivities and to watch the earthday parade. i even got to get my face painted with some speedracer like goggles. happy birthday to my friend bailey who turns 6 today! i would have chosen the star wars cake too.
